The solution is to make your own sports drinks, homemade sports drinks are easy to make, and can even have more benefits than store bought products.

* 1 tsp lemon juice *
* 3/4 cup of water *
* 1/4 tsp of salt *
* 4 tsp of sugar *
- Cranberry Drink -
* 1tsp of sal t*
* 3/4 cup of water *
* 1/4 cup of cranburry juice *

- Orange Drink -

* 4tsp of sugar*
* 1/4 tsp of salt *
* 1/4 cup of orange juice *
* 1/4 cup of boiling water *
* 3 and 3/4 cups of cold water *
*You may want to dilute these drinks according to taste.*

These drinks will not be the same as the commercially produced products, but they are designed to give a good carb and energy boost. Carbohydrates in sports drinks make the body able to absorb the drink faster than absorbing water. One of the benefits of this type of drink is that you can rehydrate fast after a work-out, or any type of physical excercise. Some sports drinks have a high sugar content that prevents absorbtion, this is why making your own sports drink has the advantage. You know what you are putting in to your drink, and the exact quantities of the ingredients used.
If the drink has the correct amount of carbohydrates, then they will provide an energy boost as well as being absorbed quickly into your system.
